"The Lumi-Nox I ordered from you arrived 2 days
ago, four days after my order was placed. Amazing, as this was only UPS ground
service (free). The watch was well packaged and the watch was perfect (as
advertised). I have been wearing it since it arrived and am VERY satisfied with
it. Actually, at this point I would say it exceeds my expectations.
The only 'glitch' I had with the initial order was that when I entered
the "coupon code (LUM 10) with the online order it did not reflect in the total
price when I was ready to complete the order. I tried this once more with the
same result and ended up making a phone call to your customer service
department. My call was answered promptly. The gentleman who answered was very
polite and helpful, saying that he would look into the webb site problem (if
there was one-I could have erred in my online attempts-my note). He offered to
complete the order over the phone, which we did, and the rest is history.
I have only worn this watch for two days so I don't think I should make any
reviews of the product at this time. However, my first impressions are very
positive and from the reviews I have read as well as the opinions of a respected
friend (who has had the same watch for over a year) I expect to be a Lumi-Nox
fan for years to come.

The order above was received today morning. I do want to congratulate you for
the excelence you showed in the processing of this order. I have nothing to
criticise whatsoever. The shipment was unbelievably fast, and the watch is
indeed in absolutely immaculate condition. I didn’t have to worry; not only the
watch box was well packed, the watch itself was extremely well factory protected
with a plastic coating.
I didn’t know this model; Of course I knew Orient - I own two – and I know the
original, the Rolex Submariner. But I am not considering spending about 5600 €uros
in such a watch – most of this money is actually spent by Rolex on advertising
and not on the watch itself, or it would have to be in solid gold! – and
besides, I examined the Rolex well and I can assure you that it is by no means
better finished than the Orient; the Orient’s brushed steel looks better
finished (!), and the clasp in the Orient is nicer; the case back in the Rolex
shows nothing whatsoever (as if it was some fake), while the one in the Orient
shows very nice engraving. This Orient is indeed a extremely well finished and
elegant watch. And it is mechanical too. (or I wouldn’t have bought it) And I
had no trouble in shortening the bracelet.
Of course, I am not expecting a Orient to last as long as a Rolex, nor to have
the same degree of accuracy or waterproofing. Still, among the very good watches
I own, one of the most accurate – maybe the most – is… a Orient! mechanical, it
deviates maybe 2 seconds per day. Unbelievable!
In all, I was immensely pleased with this order. Sorry for not having provided
you with my personal phone, but normally the number I provide, if used, is
needed by the Portuguese Customs or the Mail service, not the US. But I noticed
that it is becaming common for American enterprises to ask for copies of the
Visa and personnal ID. They shall have their reasons.
The only thing I disliked is that, between shipment, custom fees and value added
tax, this watch reached my hands at about 310 €uros, wich is pretty expensive.
Of course, only the Portuguese tax sistem is to blame for this.
I was very well impressed with discountwatchstore, and will possibly order you
another identical watch - to keep a spare – if I can."

my Luminox 1837!, as you might have guessed as I recently ordered the 182 7 as
well (for my brother for his fast approaching 50th birthday).
My 1837 arrived promptly AND was well packed (important as some local...
brown shirts seem to make sport of destroying packages).
My only problem - and it doesn't reflect on DWS at all - is the band. I prefer
leather bands. My wrists are large (9+ inches round). Knowing that I'd need to
get a replacement band, right after I ordered the watch from DWS I went to
another site to order an X-long leather band. Of course, they were out of stock
of the one I wanted. For the time being, so I can wear the watch, I've mounted
the 1837 on an old black/PVD NATO type strap from which I've removed the extra
metal bars. I cannot for the life of me find an online store that sells a
quality leather, 22mm, x-long watch band (that doesn't cost more than the watch
itself ;). "

"I recently revisted Discount Watch Store for a
birthday gift. I found a great watch at a great price. I also love the the
Online Chat that they offer. If you see a watch you like, you can ask them if
its in stock before placing the order...AWESOME.
I also in December of 2008 purchased 4
different watches for friends in a Bridal party. I received an email that 3 of
the 4 were on backorder and may not get to me in time. Customer service checked
stock for me while using their Online Chat for other watches that were in stock
and also took 10% off the order for the inconvience of having to get new
watches. They helped me for about 45 minutes to make sure I got 4 watches that I
wanted and shipped them very quickly.

Watch BJ8050-59E. I would recommend that anyone considering buying one to
physically try one on first, because it is HUGE. The size of the dial is perfect
for someone like me with diminishing eyesight but the watch is almost a 1/2 inch
thick. If the watches' looks are an indication of how tough it is, you should be
able to drive a tank over it. Time will tell."
