What does the Discount Watch Store Platinum
Protection Plan cover?
Manufacturer's warranty typically cover
manufacturer defects to the movement of the watch and does not cover the band, clasp,
stem, and the crystal. In addition to covering any defects to the
watch movement, Discount Watch Store's Platinum Protection Plan provides your
watch with the following coverage:
- Movement
- Battery
- Bezel
- Band and clasp
- Stem and crown
- Crystal (scratches, cracks, breakage)
- Normal everyday wear and tear
- Lemon protection

You don't have to worry about the crystal
breaking if you accidentally drop your watch or breaking the stem because you
pull on the crown too hard or the band breaking after a year of use or the
battery dying in after 2 years. Bottom line: Our
Platinum Protection Plan offers you worry free ownership of your fine watches.
What would we do when you send your watch in
for service. We will attempt to repair it. If repair is not possible a
replacement will be issued. If the particular watch is no longer available,
a comparable watch with price equal to or less than the original purchase price
of the damaged watch will be offered. If you want a higher priced watch as a
replacement, you will be responsible for the difference in price between the 2
watches. Original bands may not always be available. In such cases, generic
bands will be used as replacements.
What is not covered by the Discount Watch
Store Platinum Protection Plan?
Scratches on band and clasp, which will occur inevitably even under very careful use, is not covered. Loss and
theft is not covered.
How long will the Platinum Protection Plan
protect my watch?
The Discount Watch Store Platinum Protection
Plan will protect your watch for 2 years from the date of purchase, inclusive of
any manufacturer's warranty. This plan will terminate prior to the expiration of
the term if your watch is replaced with a new watch or if store credit is issued
in place of the replacement.
How long would repair take?
Depending on the watch and the extend of the
damage, repairs can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks not including the shipping
time to and from the customer.
Free Transferability:
Platinum Protection Plan may be
transferred to a subsequent owner of the product at no additional charge. There
are no restrictions provided your contract is valid. To transfer, call toll free
866-371-2330. Information provided by you must include the plan number, date
of transfer, new owner’s name, complete address and telephone number.
Renewal
Platinum Protection Plans may be
renewed at our discretion by calling the toll free 866-371-2330 help
line.
Limit of liability
For any single claim, the limit of liability under this Plan
is the lesser of the cost of (1) authorized repairs, (2) replacement with
identical product or product with similar features, (3) the price that you paid
for the product. The total liability under this Plan is the purchase price you
paid for the product; in the event that the total of all authorized repairs
exceeds the purchase price paid for the product or we replace the product with
another of equal or greater value, we shall have satisfied all obligations owed
under this plan
No Lemon Policy
After three (3) service repairs have been completed on the
same watch for the same defect, and that watch requires a fourth (4) repair, as
determined by us, we will replace it with a watch of comparable performance, not
to exceed the original purchase price. Replacement parts or products provided
may be new or rebuilt to meet the manufacturer’s specifications of the original
product at our discretion. Technological advances may result in a replacement
watch with a lower selling price than the original product. Repairs performed
while the watch is under the manufacturer’s warranty do not apply.
Manufacturer’s Responsibilities
Parts and services covered during the manufacturer’s warranty
period are the responsibility of the manufacturer. This Plan is inclusive of the
manufacturer’s warranty; it does not replace the manufacturer’s warranty, but
provides certain additional benefits during the term of the manufacturer’s
warranty. After the manufacturer’s warranty expires, this Plan continues to
provide some of the manufacturer’s benefits as well as certain additional
benefits listed within the Plan’s terms and conditions.
Cancellation
This Plan shall be cancelled by us for fraud or material
misrepresentation including but not limited to damages done to watch
intentionally by the customer. Unauthorized repair or replacement of covered product shall
result in the cancellation of this Plan by Us. In the event of cancellation by
us, written notice of cancellation shall be mailed to you not less than 30 days before cancellation is effective. This Plan can be cancelled by you at
any time for any reason by calling us at toll free 866-371-2330. If the Plan is
cancelled: (a) within 61 days of the date of purchase, You shall
receive a full refund of the price paid for the Plan provided no service has
been performed, or (b) after 61 days, no refund will be issued.
Procedures to initiating a repair
claim
Obtain
a repair authorization and confirm repair address by calling customer service at
toll free 866-371-2330 during regular business hours. Unauthorized
repairs may not be covered. Complete the repair questionnaire. Mail the watch,
the completed questionnaire, and a check or money order for $10 made payable to
IC-Mart to cover return postage to the repair address provided to you by the
customer service rep. Make sure you mail your watch back in such a manner so
that it is insured and can be traced. IC-Mart is not responsible for damages
and/or
lost while the package is in transit.
