Projects Watches

Projects Watches

The tagline of Projects watches is simply “architecture you can wear”. This isn’t just some catchy phrase that a marketing team came up with, but instead is a mantra by which Projects designs its timepieces. The first Projects watch was introduced in 1992, and was designed by architect Michael Graves, and was entitled the Michael Graves OH timepiece. Since then, Projects has commissioned architects from around the world to design timepieces based on buildings, which they have conceived. By 1998, Projects created an initiative called Building Timepieces I, II, and III, which were launched between 1998, and 1999. The first year focused on timepieces, the second year received designs for alarm clocks, and later on in that year architects designed wall clocks. The following year, the architects created a line of cookie jars, which seemed to go in different direction from the norm, but was still well received.
